Hello, and welcome to the new and improved blog!

If you’ve been a reader of my work for a while, you may have noticed things were a little quiet around here. I’ve decided to hit the reset button and start fresh with a blog that better reflects my writing and my world.

For those of you who are new here, my name is Paul Iddon. I'm a storyteller from the North East of England who spends his free time crafting tales that delve into the dark, emotive, and unflinching. My work is split between two core genres:

Horror & Dark Fantasy: Here, I explore the supernatural and the grotesque. My stories, particularly my Lust & Gore series, are designed to haunt you long after you've finished the last page.

Thrillers & Dark Social Dramas: These are grounded, real-world narratives where the true monsters are often human. My Fractured Voices series, for example, is told from a first-person perspective, giving a raw and personal look at the harsh realities of life.

I believe that storytelling, especially in the darker genres, is a powerful way to make sense of the world. It’s a chance to explore resilience, find strength in suffering, and stare into the shadows without fear.

Moving forward, this blog will be a place for me to share my thoughts on all things dark and macabre. You can expect to find posts on the books I'm reading, the movies I’m watching, and updates on my writing projects. I’ll also be sharing more about the free short stories I offer and the inspiration behind them.
